Proven Commitment During COVID-19
Sweetheart City Racing is a professional, family-owned and operated event management organization based in Loveland, CO. In 2020, during the height of the Covid pandemic we worked hard with local officials to bring safe running events back to the public while ensuring a fun environment for our participants. SCR was the leader in the industry being one of the only companies in the country to keep our entire calendar full with live races. Run the Ranch was the race that set the standard for how live racing would continue during the pandemic.
Through all of our events, we collect basic information with registration. In 2020, with the contact tracing, this would be an additional layer that would be required by county officials. To date, we have not had a single request come back to SCR from someone who contracted the virus at one of our events.
A list of protocols would be sent out to each participant prior to race day. A few of the key pieces that participants were asked to follow include:
keep face coverings on while engaging with each other as well as race staff and volunteers.
Adhere to a specific start time they signed up for prior to the race day
This was limited to a specific number of participants based on what level Larimer County had set out in their communications for outside events
Maintain social distancing in the start area and when finished.
We are extremely proud of our team and the work that was done to keep live racing going in Loveland. We feel confident in our strategy along with safety protocols that we will continue to hold live races as scheduled in 2021. For a complete list of all SCR 2021 races please visit our website.
